Standby Generators
When the power goes out, your home stays on. Gault Enterprises sizes, installs and maintains Generac and Kohler home standby generators across Cape Cod and the Plymouth area, with the gas work done by our own licensed team.

Why a Standby Generator
Nor'easters, hurricanes and summer storms knock out power on the Cape every year. Outages here can last days, not hours. A standby generator starts on its own within seconds and keeps your heat, well pump, sump pump, refrigerator and Wi-Fi running.
For seasonal homeowners, a generator protects the house while you're away. No frozen pipes in January. No flooded basement after a summer storm.
Unlike a portable generator, there are no extension cords, no refueling in the rain and no carbon monoxide risk from running it too close to the house. It runs on natural gas or propane, sits on its own pad outside, and is wired into your home's electrical system.
For Waterfront & Luxury Homes
A larger home has more to protect: central air, radiant heat, wine storage, security systems, smart-home controls and finished basements. A whole-home generator keeps all of it running so an outage changes nothing about how you live.
We size for the whole house, not just the essentials. We also plan placement with care, keeping the unit out of sightlines, meeting setbacks and leaving room for landscape screening. On new builds and renovations, we coordinate directly with your builder so the generator is planned in from the start.
For emergencies, we are on-call 24/7, because we know that the unexpected can happen!
Our Generator Services
Generator Sizing and Quotes
We walk your property, photograph your electrical panel and size the generator to how you actually live. You get up to five clear options, from essential circuits only to whole-home backup, so you choose the coverage and the budget.
Generator Installation
We handle the full job: concrete pad, generator set, automatic transfer switch, gas line, electrical connection, permits, inspections and startup. One company, one point of contact.
Load Management
Load management modules let a smaller generator safely power more of your home by managing big loads like A/C and electric dryers. We'll show you options with and without it and let you decide.
Gas Piping
As licensed plumbers and gas fitters, our own team runs the gas line, above ground or underground. We size every generator gas line for natural gas, even on propane units, so a future switch to natural gas is a simple conversion instead of new piping.
Generator Maintenance
Twice-a-year service keeps your generator ready when the next storm hits: oil and filter changes, battery testing, inspection and a test run under load.
Pre-Storm Generator Check
For GEM members. When a major storm is forecast to knock out power, we call you first. We'll offer to come out, check your fluid levels, start the generator and confirm it's ready before the storm hits. You find out it works on a sunny afternoon, not in the dark.
Generator Repair
If your generator won't start, throws an error code or didn't kick on during the last outage, we'll diagnose and repair it, including Generac and Kohler units we didn't install.
